WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS OF PROZAC ?
When you are under Prozac treatment and if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction, ask for emergency medical help:
Major Side Effects of Prozac may include:
- Skin rash
- Hives
- Breathing difficulty
- Swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat
- Panic attack
- Mood or Behavior change
- Irritability, Agitation or hostile aggressiveness
- Restlessness
- Hyperactivity
- Suicidal thoughts
- Severe blistering
- Peeling, and red skin rash;
- Very stiff muscles
- High fever
- Sweating
- Fast or uneven heartbeats
- Tremors or trembling
- Overactive reflexes
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea,
- Loss of appetite
- Feeling unsteady
- Loss of coordination
- Trouble concentrating
- Headache
- Memory problems
- Weakness,
- Confusion,
- Hallucinations,
- Fainting - seizure,
- Shallow breathing
Minor Side effects of Prozac may include:
- Cold symptoms - Stuffy nose – Sneezing - Sore throat
- Dry mouth
- Drowsiness – Dizziness
- Feeling nervous
- Mild nausea
- Upset stomach - constipation;
- Increased appetite - weight changes
- Sleeping Problem
- Decreased sex drive – Impotence – Difficult orgasm
- Blurred vision
- Numbness Tingling
Prozac rarely cause very serious side effects such as Serotonin syndrome. However, the risk is higher when Prozac is combined with other medications and then used. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor promptly.
